i don’t know if i am seeing things correctly when

                 my certainty couples with wrath

       when my friendship couples with scorn

                      … this can’t be right

this is no way

I must not be seeing things

Somewhere around here,

          There is some perspective

      Where the scales will take chance to fall

                              From my eyes

  and light fill my body

                        whole to the fingertips.

GOLEM: from Hebrew, literally “unformed”, primordial matter just before animation. Also a wonder-tale from Jewish folklore, a humanoid created by a rabi, animated by the word EMET (truth) written on its tongue or forehead.
